I guess if you were to ask them, most people would say that they feel rather insignificant. That’s to say, they feel that whatever they do, it doesn’t really count for much. By the same token, I’m sure that just about everyone would say that they want their life to matter … and for it to make a difference. And, my friend, the good news is: God wants that too.  Through the prophet Isaiah, God says: “Your thoughts are not my thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Is 55). And so if you don’t think you count for much, then think again … because that’s not how God sees you.
