On average a UK child has just 1,277 days between birth and starting nursery education. 1277 exists to ‘make them count’ for the children, for their families and for the toddler groups that they attend.
1277 exists to develop and implement a National Strategy to support church-based toddler groups and their associated activities. Their vision is to see universal access to excellent, safe, Christian toddler groups which are demonstrating God’s love at the heart of their communities.It is a cross-church, cross denominational group between over 20 different denominations and charities in the United Kingdom.
I was approached to provide web design and development for the launch of their website, which allows toddler groups around the country to register and network. The registration also allows the group to send out mailing and marketing information.
As part of my involvement in the project, I provided the following:
- design of look and appearance
- a custom-written control panel specifically tailored to the needs of the website
- Google Maps programming to plot groups on a map of the United Kingdom.
- analytics integration
- social media strategies for Facebook and Twitter
